Jamila (Finolas Jamila) is a 2003 Straight Egyptian mare bred at the famous Rock Creek Arabians in Waco Texas.

Jamila is actually the dam of Miss Scapa that I previously trained but I acquired her after I had sold her daughter. Jamila's is unfortunately a common story for a lot of arabians it seems. Being used primarily as broodmare, she has produced some amazing halter champions She came up to Canada from Georgia USA, was sold a couple of times to SE enthusiasts but her last home, her owner passed away and she moved around and was dumped to a few places where she was supposedly started under saddle by unknowledgeable people. She was being offered for free when I saw her. I knew who she was right away, appreciated her amazing pedigree and didn't want her passed around anymore. She took a full year to decompress and trust again. I did restart her under saddle again. She will walk around under saddle and do a tiny bit of trotting but I have not pushed her past that yet.
